Atlas Railroad Construction Co., now LLC, helps facilitate RailAmerica (which owns 43 U.S. and Canadian regionals and short lines) to expand into regions where its railroads already have a presence and provide new services. RailAmerica has retained the Atlas brand and maintains Atlas’ headquarters in western Pennsylvania.
